Kamala Harris officially announced that she was suspending her campaign this week. It is a far fall from her first debate performance, but it turns out she could not energize voters to hang on. Her campaign ultimately did not have the funding it needed to carry on. She was spending more money than she had and began to pull resources from states to support her Iowa campaign. The campaign did eventually become dead in the water with the remaining resources they had.
Many reporters say that the reason Harris never energized voters was her lack of direction and definitive opinions of key policy. Harris is, however, being considered in a hypothetical Democratic administration for 2020. Joe Biden stated he would be open to considering Harris for a post in his administration.
